This is our official newsletter for Canyon House and Crescent Villa. This industry is driven by people and the relationships between these people. We intend to us Villa Voice as a means of communication of any major items of general interest between the people who have any connection to Canyon House and Crescent Villa. The main focus group, however, are the people directly connected to our residents such as family, friends and conservators. Villa Voice will only be published when enough important news of a general nature needs to be communicated. Villa Voice is currently included in bill mailings and is available at our internet web site, www.canyonhouse.com and www.crescentvilla.com. If you have any suggestions you want to make please let us know what they are. You can also e-mail them to www@canyonhouse.com Memory WalkThe Alzheimer’s Association will be holding their Memory Walk fund raising event October 7th 2000 on Treasure Island. We are a corporate sponsor of the event and will be at the walk and would like to invite you to participate. For more information please call them at 800-660-1993 or visit their web site at www.alzsf.org. We are proud of our important relationship with the Alzheimer’s Association. For example we make people we meet aware of each other’s organization. The Alzheimer's Association provides training for our staff and are otherwise a crucial support organization. So please come and support a great cause on what is otherwise a fun, healthy and wonderful day. Labor Day BBQOur next BBQ, weather permitting
will be held at Crescent Villa at 12pm on Monday September 4th to
which you are cordially invited. Our
last “official” BBQ was held on Independence day, July 4th. Lost and FoundWe currently have a large lost and found inventory. When you get a chance please stop by and see if anything belongs to your resident. An on-going problem for us is the steady stream of lost and found items. Due to the nature of what we do, we are inevitably going to have a lost and found inventory. Please help us to keep this
inventory to a minimum by: Ř Making sure that all items are clearly marked Ř Rechecking items to ensure that item names have not faded or fallen off Ř
Keeping clothing, simple, comfortable and easy to wash and wear Flu and Other ShotsPLEASE HELP US reduce the spread of the flu at Canyon House and Crescent Villa by minimizing your physical contact with our residents if you have this virus. We will not be charging for flu shots this year. However we will always continue to obtain permission to give these shots to our residents. Please complete, sign and cut out the attached consent coupon and return it to us at Canyon House/Crescent Villa with your regular monthly payment, thank you. Also, we recommend that our residents have a pneumonia shot. If you agree please work with your doctor to find out more about this shot.
